The Skelly Shake: A Halloween Baa Song

From Baas to Beats

It started with a giggle.

One foggy morning on the rescue farm, while the Lambies were still snoozing and Louie was plotting his next adventure, a curious clatter echoed from the shed. It wasn’t spooky—it was rhythmic. Joyful. Like bones tap-dancing on a trampoline.

And in the centre, basking in the sunshine, stood Shelly—a more “gracefully weathered” ewe.

Shelly’s wool was patchy, her knees creaky, and her baa had a bit of a wheeze. But she had spirit. And sass. And allegedly, a fondness for tricks and sweet treats.

That morning, I spotted Shelly doing her usual bone-shaking manoeuvre. She gave a bleat and tossed her bony hips as if to ‘boogie’. It was a sight: bones and wool, rattling and baaing, shimmying to command attention.

And just like that, The Skelly Shake was born.

Shelly may be skinny, resulting from older age, but she’s proven that agility, and spontaneous shakes can make for a good groove.

Shelly's Skelly Signature Shake

We wrote it to honour Shelly’s spirit: unapologetically quirky, endlessly kind, and always ready to prance. Whether you’ve got bones, fluff, feathers, or fur, this jingle is for you.

It’s not just a Halloween anthem—it’s a celebration of movement, mischief, and the kind of joy that makes your bones (and your wool) want to bop along to.

So, this Halloween, shake what you’ve got. Bleat if you’ve got it. Jiggle your worries away. And if you’re feeling brave, try The Skelly Shake—just don’t lose your tibia.

The Skelly Shake drops September 22nd! Pre-save it now and be the first to boogie for Halloween. https://distrokid.com/hyperfollow/lambies/the-skelly-shake
